Sell by weight
Customers order by the pound and set the most they’ll pay. They’re charged the actual packed weight, never more than that.
Market
Checkout at the counter or the market: a card reader or cash, on the same customer records as online orders.
Online orders
An online store with pickup and delivery windows, and a pack station to weigh and fill each order.
Free until you sell, then 1% of each card sale.

Questions
- Does Locker Plant handle cut sheets and hanging weights?
- Opening soon. Each customer animal is a processing job with its drop-off and kill dates, hanging weight, cut sheet, per-pound and flat fees, and an invoice the customer pays online. Until then, the free beef cut sheet and drop-off sheet on this site work on paper.
- What does it cost?
- No monthly fee and no setup fee. 1% of each card sale, plus Stripe’s processing (2.7% + 5¢ on a reader and 2.9% + 30¢ online). Cash is free.
- Can I sell retail cuts by weight?
- Yes. Customers order by the pound and set the most they’ll pay, and they’re charged the actual packed weight, never more. Pre-weighed, labeled packages work too.
- Can customers put a deposit on a quarter or half?
- Yes, for shares you sell: a deposit at checkout, and the balance once the hanging weight is in.
- Does it work at the counter?
- Yes. Take cards on a Stripe reader or record cash, on the same customer records as online orders.
- Does it keep USDA or state inspection records?
- No. Locker Plant doesn’t do inspection paperwork. If your plant needs that, look at a plant-floor system with inspection support.
